Yeah Monk...and this bass design is actually his most "acceptable" invention (to most people) I guess. I like its simplicity and neat layout and I remember this one gathered a few crowd every time when I walk by the booth. Also worth mentioning is that the pickup cover is very neat & elegant. Somehow I feel that bass players are more open-minded to accept experiments, guitar players seem to be more conservative.... my two cents

Monk, I've actually seen Charlie Hunter in live performance playing the Novax bass-guitar, impressive techniques! The fanned frets didn't seem to be very hard to play though. I guess most people can get along well with it after some practices. There are already a few excellent EUBs on the market today, are you looking for one?
