I am just wondering is fret buzz a trade off from low action?? Coz I am having buzz on fret with my low action ESP Viper... I get that for a professional set up already, still can't get rid of the buzz. So is it every low action guitar will buzz?? Thanks
Not all the low action will buzz, if you set it right, try adjust the truss rod (outbound) or bridge height, or replace nut, or saddle. simple way is change the string to thicker 0.009 to 0.0095 or to 0.001 or to 0.0015 or 0.010, I heard from other forum said if the buzz doen't come out from amp, it doesn't hurt. hope it helps
piero, Buzz in low action sometimes is due to the design of a guitar. I was told some vintage or relic ones are set in higher action. They usually can't be set as low as others. A re-fret might help but why not trying to find you another one with low action? Of course, higher action will slow down your speed. However, I feel it is suitable for playing blues.
