Fender bassman 59

    I've a Fender bassman 59(The yellow one with 4 speakers),but I've some problem with it.How many tubes does it have?Mine only have 2.When I play the low E,distorstion is occur(but when I play the othr no problem.)
    I pettry love that amp coze It got a great clear tone.But when I plug in a distr. pedal(MT-2)It sound like sh*t.I wonder why?

    你可以到Groove Tube 的網站上查，他們有列大部份廠商amps 的tube數量和種類，有的還按年份分，很方便。你說的兩管應該只是power tubes，前級管比後級管小，可能遮到所以你沒看見而已。

    會有low E 時的 distortion是因為低音弦出力大，你可以調低靠近低音弦那方向的pickups，出力比較小就不會發生這種高低音不平均的情形。MT-2和Basman配？？？
    至少也要是 Boss Blues Driver這種 low gain的pedal才能配Bassman這種傳統型 amp啦！

    bassman的低音本來就比較多，因為它本來就是給bass用的amp，不知你會不會覺得就算把bass轉到0，低音還是太多了...

    Fender Bassman 是非常好的吉他 amp，很多彈 country、blues 和 funk 的吉他手都用。它的 bass 應該不會那麼多，因為它的 speakers 是10"，而非12"。 你可以試著將bass調少一些，presence 調大一點，然後 amp 墊高一點、不要靠牆放，應該 bass 太多的情況就會改善不少。如果還是不行，那可能它並不適合你。

    另外 Bassman 這種 amp 並不太適合做 high gain 的音色，如果你希望做 low gain 或一點 rock 的音色，可以用音色比較 open 的 pedals，像 Banzai Cold Fusion，Boss OD-1 也不錯 (已停產)，後者的 bass 很少或許剛好會是你要的情形。

    I dont know this is the problem of the amp or wht(The dist.).......i use different guitar and it still have this problem>_<~The Mid to High tone is very beautiful!But the problem is the low........yes,I turn the bass to 0 and it still not good enough........
    p.s.Bassman is for bass?I dont know.....I think this is a guitar amp........
