Altiverb 是我用過最好的 reverb plugin，而且操作很簡單，因為參數非常基本。至於音色則看你用的 sampling reverb 如何，基本上聲音比 PCM 90 那類還真實，也甚至可以 sample 硬體 reverb box 的 reverb 效果。 當然它也不是沒缺點。最糟的地方是非常耗 cpu，用 G4 733 跑兩軌的 stereo reverb 就感覺整個反應變慢許多，真的要在多軌上跑，即使雙 CPUs 也不太行。另外我也搞不太懂為何它的其中一參數- 好像是 delay time 可以設正負值，有點奇怪，或有經驗者能有答案吧。 sampling reverb 應該會成為明日之星。目前軟體做得好的只有 AudioEase，硬體的有 SONY 和 Yamaha 等，Mac 上除Altiverb 之外，也有 Bias 新版 Peak 上所付的新 sampler reverb plugin 之類；PC 上還沒有同等的，但有相近的東西，也慢慢會普遍。至於 VST 版本，AudioEase 或許可能會做 Mac 版的，或 OS X 的 plugin 格式，因後者將成為 Mac 的標準，MOTU 的 MAS 系統將慢慢退出舞台。 Sampling Reverb 非常真實，有機會請試試。 以上請參考。

SIR 我用了一段時間了。延遲太大的問題可以用調整軌道的 offset 來修正，反正他的延遲固定在 16384 samples。 至於 18 秒，那是個大誤會，是所使用的 IR 不能超過 18 秒，不是被處理的聲音不能。 不過用 SIR 的話要自己努力上網找好的 IR 倒是真的。
