Orange, eh? 前陣子的retro 50聽說是很不錯的. 不過我近來太忙, 沒空去Denmark St晃晃...我大概得要年底才能回去, 所以如果到時你還想要的話再告訴我吧. 不過說起amp...我還是最愛Cornford. 哈哈. 只可惜這種boutique amp的EQ range都挺小的, 不過, 除此之外實在沒法子挑剔...要不要考慮看看? ^皿^ PRS PS, eh? Mr 72: 的確是很美的一把. 我現在似乎就是對rosewood neck有著一些奇怪的遐想. 我有一把12 string的Adamas (現在絕對是很難找的啦)就是rosewood neck...除了木紋美, 手感好, 又有種奇怪的木頭味...PRS之外不曉得還有什麼廠特別注重? 另外, 我也喜歡quilted maple遠勝flamed/10 top...我覺得flamed "is rather boring"... 至於amp和cab的搭配...我總覺得就美感上來說, 用了orange的head就非用它的cab不可, 否則看來似乎就是怪怪的. 當然, 來個如你所提的"八卦"或甚至"喜喜"的手工木飾在cab上面應該也是很開心一通^皿^
To Johnny, 呵呵,Slo 跟VH4 之間可是差了好幾年 .. Soldano SLO 100 是第一個公認的 standard high gain tube distortion.. Diezel 工廠就只有那顆頭(有更新的Herbert, 已在 NAMM2003 登場),唉.. 定價 US$4000, 買的起真是有錢... 4 個CH 有各自的 EQ, 市場上也沒其他能比.. SLO 比起來功能就差了一大截.. 但是 SLO only has 2 channels, 嫌旋紐少也不需亂加 ^^ Diezel Herbert.. WTF !! 酷到不像話 http://community.webshots.com/album/61297213clihRy 幹掉 SLO 輕而易舉.. er .. 考量不同ㄚ.. 我個人都覺得 SLO 比 Recto 還高一階呢 .. Bogner, XTC 系列愛的大有人在, Uberschall ..一顆也要定價 US$3K .. 要我來比..呵呵..價錢不同ㄚ...我只敢猜測 SLO 的 Clean Channel 遜了一籌.. Mr72, 我也推薦 Herbert 喔... 如果真的想要 BEST 又有錢的話 !!!
我倒覺得 VH4、ECSTASY、SLO-100 這三個頭各有所長，要說誰比較厲害似乎都是個人偏好了。 VH4 給我的感覺是非常 "Hi Fi"，與 Soldano、Bogner 相差很多，可說是完全不同走向；我自己反而比較喜歡後兩者。Bogner 有兩款"中價位"的 Shiva、Metropolis 我也覺得挺不錯，但還是稍嫌 over-priced。 Mr.72 果真有預算的話，瞧瞧這個 Ken Fischer design Komet。 他有個 "Touch Response" 設計似乎不錯，可惜我曾在樂器行見過但音量根本沒辦法開超過 "2"..... </font><blockquote>引言:</font><hr /> Touch Response™: This Trainwreck Engineered™ circuit enables the musician to alter the touch response characteristics of their amplifier to suit their playing style. Jeff, 我在PRS Forum之類的地方也常見到人家提起Komet, 完全被說的幾乎像是amp界神話(當然還有Bogner & Dr Z, etc), 不曉得你的使用心得如何? 可以和大家分享一下嗎? 我在倫敦根本沒機會見到上述幾個牌子...
Shawn... 我只有短暫幾秒鐘的"體驗"，說不上什麼"使用心得"；當時只覺得耳朵快聾掉啦∼∼∼ 順便補充一下....既然 Shawn 對 PRS 這麼迷，不妨看看這個： </font><blockquote>引言:</font><hr /> The connection with PRS Guitars began around 1980 when the brother of one of Pritchard's clients wanted to build a custom 8-string bass. Jeff 我也覺得類似Komet這樣的classic/vintage設計其實是非常不amateur-friendly, 除非是用個'air-break'之類的東西, 否則實在難用於非表演場合. 不過, 從他們的網站上見到有較小瓦數的komet要誕生. 蠻讓人期待的. 不過, 除了震耳欲聾之外, 不曉得你的短暫接觸是否真的如傳說中一般讓人感動? 從komet網站的sound files聽來, 好像還真是不錯! 至於PRS, 我其實並不是真的很喜歡他們的tone...但是卻對他們的"工"感到著迷. Tone-wise, 我還是偏好"定義清楚"一點的東西--要嘛就厚重扎實的hum, 不然就要輕靈尖酸的sigle-coil. 對於PRS的"in-between-ness", 我其實比較不是那麼欣賞, 雖然說PRS聲音的柔和絕對是可以信賴的. 不過以"工"來說, 好比你貼的文章奡ㄗ鴘, PRS的品質實在很好. 對我而言, 音箱和吉他, 我是沒辦法光從"tone"來取捨: 實在沒辦法花錢買個感覺粗資濫造的東西(like some Gibson & Marshall)...這方面我是很挑的. 我對電子類一竅不通, 但是覺得Komet之類真的算的上是amp的藝術品; 買不起沒關係, 知道有這樣的東西存在就很讓人開心了.

72葛格, 確定要"拼"了嗎? 加油加油! PRS一般實際賣價應該會打個7到8折, 所以你不妨多寫幾封email問問. 到 http://www.prsforum.com 這個網站裡有一些dealer聲譽挺好, 不妨從那裡下手逛逛. 至於gucci amp...我以前有看過一把gucci的eg, 真的蠻美的(fasion-wise), 嘿嘿. "richer" tone, hehehe, that's one way to put it ^皿^ 你看, 經濟不景氣的情況下你說要"衝", 大家就群情激動替你叫好: 我們自己沒機會吃好料沒關係, 光看你吃感覺也不錯. 彷彿是你一人得道我們大家跟著升天, 哈哈哈. 繼續多做考慮& keep us updated with the latest development plz!
